Why should I care?
We need the gold line.
Right now decision makers are leaving out the San Gabriel Valley in their long range transportation plans. This is not acceptable! What are we going to do when gas is $5 a gallon and the average speed on local freeways is 10 mph ALL day?
There is a project that can make things better, but it needs your support. The Foothill Extension of the Metro Gold Line is planned to go from Pasadena to Ontario Airport. This extension would give students and young families in the San Gabriel Valley the freedom to choose a better lifestyle that is not dependent on the car. Imagine being plugged into the Metro rail system and being able to visit Pasadena, Hollywood, Santa Monica, Long Beach, downtown L.A. or Ontario Airport for the same cost as a bus ticket.
This is a call to action. We need to stand up and make our voices heard. Just sign the petition on the right and show your support for bringing light rail transit to the San Gabriel Valley. Get your friends to do it too, together we can make a difference.
